PCiRoads work included draft tube ceiling structural modifications, requiring the application of an accelerated wet-mix shotcrete with 100 lb/yd3 of steel fiber, up to 6.25 feet thick overhead. Overhead application of shotcrete to such thickness is seldom done. Thickness, difficult access, confined space and variable weather conditions made this a challenging project. The combination of our specialty experience, expert management and number of quality certified nozzlemen made us uniquely qualified for this complex project. This project was recognized by the American Shotcrete Association as the 2024 Outstanding Infrastructure Project of the Year.
